From Boone's Mama:
Boone was just about a year old when we adopted him from True Friends Animal Welfare Center in Montrose, PA. We wanted a young, active friend for Cameron. He was an owner surrender who said they were moving & couldn't take him ... it was obvious to me he wasn't a family member who lived indoors. He was neutered by the shelter 3 weeks prior to adopting him (he'd only been at the shelter about 1 month before we took him home) He was sweet, submissive & afraid of everything- very similar to the puppy mill dogs I've fostered... I think he must've lived outside. His 1st night with us, he was afraid of the TV when we turned it on. He did so great at overcoming scary things because I took him walking on a busy in-town trail where he encountered skate boarders & bicycles & passing cars. What Boone loves the most is children - He's so gentle with them in spite of his strength, his mama, & especially, hiking with his mama. Boone will be 5 this October 2021. (His Adoptaversary date)
