Copper was rescued by Small Miracles in Ellicott city from a really bad situation in WV. We had never had a hound breed before and weren't looking for one at the time, but he captured our hearts that day at the rescue and it was all over haha. He rode home on my husband's shoulder and it was love haha.(photo) He's incredibly smart, loyal and loves his bananas . I swear he can smell a banana from a mile away. And of course, he thinks the chickens are his job although he took that all upon himself. We never asked it of him, he just does it. He's crazy protective over them and comes to tell us every time he thinks anything could be out of place. Like when our rooster gives out his warning sounds when a hawk flies overhead. Copper will go nuts asking to go out and check on his chickens lol. He will lay out there scanning the property.
