Loki and his brother Thor are rescues but the real story is how they rescued their human! 
When their momma lost her pittie rescue of 12 years, the pain was almost unbearable. She thought she could never have a dog again. But as we have learned, dog lovers can't be without a dog…and she’s a dog lover. 
About a year later she decided it was time to start looking at pittie rescues online.  She would read the heart breaking stories about how the dog ended up at the rescue and her heart would break all over again. It took a few months of looking, but one day she saw a picture of a dog at a shelter in Pompano Beach. Her application was approved! She and her sister  jumped in the car and drove to Pompano Beach - 4 hours away. 
Once they were in the meeting room, within a few minutes, a volunteer and 3 excited pitties came running in. She couldn't contain her tears... She was happy and sad. The volunteer said the three pups had been found, abandoned with their mommy on a busy highway.
Of course, she wanted all three! She ended up adopting two. And told the rescue if the 3rd wasn't adopted by the end of the week, she was coming back for him. Luckily, he was adopted the next day.
Loki and Thor were named on the 4 hour drive home. And now every night they go to sleep as a family and every day Loki and Thor wake up beside their momma. Her whole world revolves around them. They rescued her....they saved her life.
