When flames tore through her home last September (2025), Louisa acted on pure instinct. To escape the fire, she jumped from a high deck, saving her life, but leaving her with severe injuries to her leg. Despite every effort to save it, amputation became the only way to relieve her pain and give this special dog a chance at healing. What could have broken her spirit never did. Over nearly five months at Faithful Friends Animal Society, Louisa learned to navigate the world on three legs. With patience, rehabilitation, and an abundance of love, she blossomed, winning over staff and volunteers with her affectionate nature, determination, and joyful outlook. Every day, Louisa showed us she was so much more than what she had lost. Just before the holidays, her happy ending arrived. Louisa found the forever home she deserved!
