"Sir Remington” aka Remy, Remy Roo, Rooster, along with his brother and sister, were transferred from a rescue in Western MD to Howard County. Howard County took them in, as they had space. His mama was still mourning the loss of “Uncle” Willard from West Virginia (her first Treeing Walker Coonhound -TWC), but she decided to go take a look at the new pups as it was VERY rare to have Treeing Walker Coonhounds in this part of Maryland (they are hunting dogs, more popular in Western MD, West Virginia, and the South, but they are such sweet dogs who really are great companions, especially in an active lifestyle. When mama arrived, she really wanted a little girl but she fell in love with the tiniest, spunkiest, little guy with the most beautiful markings. Mama had to provide some TWC education to the staff and officers at Howard County, as she explained how they are NOT beagles with long legs 😊 When his mama picked him up after being neutered, she should have known they were about to go on adventure as the vet and vet techs were shocked how he came out of surgery like nothing had just happened. He came bounding through the door, with his cone, and didn’t mind one bit having it on or the fact that he recently had surgery. Mama thinks this started his love of dressing up! Sweaters, tutus, costumes, hats, and of course his favorite…. Looking so dapper in his Bowtie Atticus Bowties.Remy Roo has a lot of personality and a lot of opinions, of which he is not afraid to tell you about. He loves being outside, standing on picnic tables, deflated soccer balls, soft blankets and beds, Baby Bell cheese, baying and barking (ROOSTERING) at just about anything because he can, car rides, hikes, and pack walks with his buddies. He has the softest most velvety ears with legs for days. Sometimes, they are so long he doesn’t know where to put them and makes him lay/sit in the weirdest positions. But all of it makes him a quirky, one of a kind dude that keeps us laughing all of the time.
