  • Rocco's story as told by his momma: He was on death row at a high kill shelter in North Carolina. His hold was up on April 24, 2015. I came across his picture on Facebook and something drew him to me. I had to have him. I got in contact with the rescue that was funding him being pulled. The story the shelter gave us was he was an owner surrender after someone called and complained about a very skinny dog roaming the streets. He was about 11 months old, 30 lbs, bully mix. He was not house broken and knew zero commands. When I got him I was just fostering him. What a wild ride that was. He ended up have SEVERE allergies to the point where he was eating the pads on his paws off. After numerous vet visits and allergy specialist he was put on medications that was life changing. He had terrible separation anxiety but we got through that as well. He graduated top of his class at his obedience school and gained a ton of weight back. After finding him a home twice and both times he came back to me we decided to make him forever ours.
