Sawyer

From his mom:I reached out to the Tipton County Paws and claws in TN, who pulled from the local shelters. Paws and Claws then partners with Northern Rescues and sends the pups up on transport. I adopted Sawyer in September at 4 months from New York Safe Haven based on Long Island. Speaking with Paws and Claws they said Sawyer (formerly Collin) was found as a stray with mange, so basically naked and was brought to the local shelter. I attached his intake photo He came up on transport in August and was fostered while he gained weight and they were able to get his mange under control. The rescue did say that he had attended a few adoption events but was kind of withdrawn and quiet. Luckily for us, he was available and the day we brought him home he fit right in. We have a 4 year old female rescue, Sydney and after her initial shock of having a new puppy in the house she is tolerating him, maybe even liking him. Sawyer is the most chill pup we have ever had. I think he was so chill during the adoption events he didn't show well. He loves the outdoors and would stay in the yard all day long if he could, playing with his toys, and entertaining himself. We feel so blessed to have had the chance to add him to our family. We also have 4 cats and he was fostered with cats so he is great with them as well!
