Wile E Bunny (blue)
Wile E Bunny was surrendered to NYACC with his bonded female bunny friend at risk of losing their lives, Rabbit Rescue & Rehab NYC stepped in to save them. Through the trauma of the shelter then being taken into foster his girlfriend no longer wanted to bond with him. Sad and unsure of what was next, Wile E went to a new foster home. At the same time his soon to be new family who had adopted a bonded pair of sisters Gigi and Georgina from RR&R-NYC had found out Georgina was very sick with cancer and they had to say good-bye. Gigi having only ever been with her sister Georgina was declining without her. Wile E’s future new Mom and his foster Mom were very good friends and his foster Mom thought Wile E would be a great match for Gigi bc he too was missing his partner. Adoption papers were signed and the 4 month process of carefully bonding Gigi and Wile E took place. It was a success because the two were literal “snuggle bunnies” and inseparable for 4 years until Gigi had passed due to a spinal condition brought on by old age. Now a golden bachelor, Wile E is enjoying his retirement in the Hamptons.
