  • As told by Willow's momma: In August 2020 our white german shepherd named Cody passed away. For months we were looking at different shelters trying to find our next fur baby. We already have a rescue dog named Bean, that we originally took in as a foster dog. So Bean was in need of a new brother or sister. In February 2021, we came across this shelter called Heaven Sent Animal Rescue. They are always bringing up puppies from the south to New Jersey. We applied for a dog named Story, who was a husky mix. About two days after sending in the application, Heaven Sent contacted us letting us know that Story was already spoken for but they had another puppy available if we were interested. Her name was Snow White, and she was deaf. As soon as they sent us a picture of her sweet little face, I knew that she had to be mine. She was only 5 months old and soooo cute. We told the shelter that we would take her, and she was transported from Mississippi to New Jersey the next weekend. Seeing her for the first time and holding her in my arms made my heart so warm and happy. My little baby girl, my new best friend. I changed her name to Willow. She has been a wonderful addition to the family and a great little sister to Bean. Even though she is deaf, that doesn’t stop her from being a happy and energetic pup. She loves chasing a ball and mini tire in the yard, she even brings it right back to us. She loves trying new food but her favorite food of all is BANANAS! It has been so fun learning her little personality. I don’t know what I would do without her! In September Willow will be 1 year old already. Time flies when you’re having fun!
